It’s all Aaron Sorkin’s fault.
We met on OK Cupid. (Pause for laughter) No, really, we did. I was tired of ‘hooking up’ with guys and the bar scene. So I decided to do something radical – I would write a completely honest online dating profile. I said that I was happy with where I was in my life except for one thing – I wanted an actual relationship. I was uninterested in anything less. I wanted marriage and a family so if that wasn’t what the readers were looking for I didn’t want to be bothered. There was also plenty about the GB Packers and every TV show that Aaron has written, because those are my favorite things.
I also decided that I would message guys. I would pull up my big girl panties and I would take a chance. Otherwise what was the point of being on a site like that?
I’m not going to lie, it was a good picture. It’s not like I looked past all these physical flaws to see the beautiful man within. I’m not that deep.
